Popular Post Iguanadon Posted October 23, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted October 23, 2017 So... Long story short, a tourist shop in Wilmington, the "big city" near me wants to stock some of my puzzles. She mentioned that anything with WILMINGTON or NORTH CAROLINA are very popular, so I called Harvey and have him putting WILMINGTON in the body of the swimming mermaid for me and in the meantime I showed the owner of the shop this simple thing I've made a couple of times. I didn't keep it in stock at my shows since it wasn't a puzzle although it had proven to be somewhat popular. I simply found a detailed outline of my state, found a font I liked and laid it out so that it would stand up straight and level. Then I used a wood burner to put a heart over our location. I had done it for a couple of other nearby states but never displayed or tried to promote them. But if you do craft events, you may want to consider doing it for your home state. Quick and simple. She loved it, so I just made 6 of them to deliver to her tomorrow. frankorona, Scrappile, lawson56 and 7 others 10 Quote

Even better, I'll add it right here for free. :-) NOTE: Be sure to connect the "N" to the main piece. The pattern shows a slight gap. I never intended to share the pattern, so I didn't make it perfect/pretty. NC.pdf Edited October 23, 2017 by Iguanadon Quote

LOL That might depend upon how long you've been doing it.. I first seen these about 2-3 years ago.. Your design is different in that you put the text on the outside of the state.. ones I seen was cut out if the shape, LOL and then they put a heart in the location the customer needed.. LOL Quote
