Brianr24 Posted October 29, 2017 Report Posted October 29, 2017 Well I managed to get some practice in over the weekend. Pig from Kathy wise book. My daughter can't wait to get her hands on this and massacre it with paint. I'm not super happy with it anyway. I kind of butchered the ear a little when shaping. I was making it for her to paint and practice for me. MTCowpoke22, frankorona, leshko and 6 others 9 Quote

Thank u, it's not that bad it's just I sanded the tip of the ear too low closest to the eye. I wanted to keep it proud of the cheek so it looks as if it's laying on top. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. It was just a practice piece on cheap pine for my five year old to paint.:) Quote
Lucky2 Posted October 29, 2017 Report Posted October 29, 2017 Brian, I think you're just being to hard on yourself, it looks to be done perfectly fine. I'm not much of a pig fan, but this one is really cute. Len Quote

Rob Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Well to use an English expression, you certainly did NOT make a pigs ear of that. It's great. I bought that book and liked that pattern but have not got around to making it yet. Yours looks better than the illustration in the book! Do not under any circumstances let that get painted. Well done, Rob Quote
