Denny Knappen
The pttern is by Judy Peterson and found in SWWC Holiday Ornaments, Toys and Gifts Vol 2. It is made from Poplar approximately 7" high. I used FD Polar #5 blades and Shellac finish. Comments welcome. Would you please tell us about finishing puzzles with shellac? Do you have any issues fitting the pieces due to the shellac? Thank you for sharing Sam

I actually dilute the Shellac with 50% alcohol making a sanding sealer. This dries quickly and very little surface finish. With this finish there is no issues fitting. Rockytime
I like the cutting. It is simple and so am I. I do like cutting puzzles as they do not take too long and the gratification comes quickly.

orangeman
I tried that pattern a couple years ago because I thought it was a winner . Thought it would sell but it was a bust! Wound up giving them away to a local charity. Hope you do better. bb
dgman
Looks great Denny! That pattern is actually a good seller for me. I have five for my two day sale this weekend and expect to sell them all @ $24.
wombatie
That looks great Denny. I wish I could get some poplar here in Oz. Marg
Blaughn
Beautiful job, Denny. I look at the grain of the poplar and I might have been tempted to run it vertically to simulate folds in the angel's gown.... Either way I like the outcome - alot! Melanie, it is a special edition magazine. There are two volumes. I am not sure if Fox Chapel still has some.
