I got on a kick about 8 months ago and made these pendants. They are so much fun to make and a great way to use up your scraps. I string then up with black hemp cord and twist clasps mostly although some want magnetic.

Gonna source out small little  "rivet" like brass/silver/gold pieces to put in the holes to make them look even better.

These are proving to be popular, I wear different necklaces everyday...

Pics of the lot, then 7 of so pics a bit closer up and the a pic of some close up

thanks folks, my 5 year old son wanted to count them when I was putting them away in a ziplock. 174 of them, he says some look like the fancy chocolates that we consume around christmas time...LOL

What a great use of "waste" pieces. Lots of beautiful ones there. Letting your 5 year old count them is good for his math and number learning. I can see why they are good sellers for you. Thanks for showing.

thanks folks,

Katie I simply take a small piece of wood and then that becomes the base or starting point and then I just cut it in two horiz, vert or diagonal and then start to take small pieces and add them in with Titebond 3.

Often times the hardest part is clamping them, specifically if it is diagonal and in many cases I make those main parts much larger and with two perpendicular edges that are used to clamp and then are just sanded away to form the desired shape.

which ones in particular do you like?

Wayne, they look amazing, the different types of wood makes a big difference in how they look. It's a rather ingenious use of scrap wood, and I can see where hey would be  real popular.

Those are cool Wayne! I love your creativity !

Thanks! It is a bunch of fun to do these little guys, although I am sure a few of my neighbors are not as fond... Lots of noise with the detail sander....

I have done some pendants before, where I take a few pieces sandwiched together, cut them apart and glue them back together. When the edges are not square I found that using packing tape or painters tape worked as a good clamp. I found a blog tutorial that I did years ago on how I did mine. http://lumberjocks.com/MrsN/blog/19527

The triangular pieces really stand out as interesting.
