Wow what a fun job you have!  :)   I'm sure your student will have that for years to come and remember you for helping and encouragement.    He is gonna want to do another one, "only better"  as soon as this one is painted i'm betting.  Thanks for showing this to us.

This is the first scroll saw project one of my kids has completed here at my new school. It is a Pokemon layerscape, and the student designed it himself. The front layer has a pokeball in the grass, 2nd layer has pikachu and some pine trees, 3rd layer has a Pokemon trainer, Zapdos and a sun. It will get painted to male everything a bit easier to see 

We have a pretty awful pro-tech scroll saw in our shop at the moment, waiting for a new Delta hopefully. I am super proud of my student for sticking through the irritating saw and making something really neat.

I pronounce you Hero of the month!!  Anyone who encourages a child to get their head out of the digital cesspool and create something that has value and wide appeal has accomplished the miraculous!!!!  Well done!!
