Scrappile Posted December 8, 2017 Report Posted December 8, 2017 Hey, now that is nice. Add another "s" to the name and it would fit right in my house! Don't know why my family got an extra "s" on our name, might accentuate they type of people we are with the last three letters of the name?! Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

Paul, maybe your relatives were Canadian at one time, we're known for using extra letters in some of our words. There's lots of examples, but the only one I can think of right now, is the word colour. We use a U in the way we spell it, compared to the American spelling. Len Quote
Rockytime Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 My wife is Canadian. When we were first married she was in a department store looking for diapers. She asked a clerk for napkins and was directed to house wares. The clerk showed her napkins. My wife replied those are serviettes, I'm looking for napkins for a baby. She was then directed to children's department where she discovered they were called diapers. Quote
