barb.j.enders
Some of this weekend's cutting. Glued the photos onto 1/4"BB ply with spray glue. Let that sit for a couple of days. Stack cut, put the photos on the inside, glued the template to the back side. After cutting, took the pieces apart. That was actually harder than it should have been, the two layers stuck together. Next time I will put some wax paper between the photos. Cut with #2R olson blade. Haven't finished the wood. Might put a coating of Mod Podge on the top to seal the edges. These were for practice on cutting puzzles for future ideas. frankorona, Lucky2, Scrolling Steve and 4 others

wombatie
You did a great job for a practice. I have never cut a puzzle like that before because I want to find a template with puzzle pieces the size you would get if you bought a 500 or 1000 piece puzzle, just can't find one. Keep up the great work Barb. Marg barb.j.enders

fredfret
Good job Barb. I am always surprized by the number of people that use patterns/templates for jigsaw puzzles. I freehand cut them and find it much more creative and challenging than following the lines someone else made. I cut quite a few family photos and using a pattern Uncle Harvey's eye is cut out or anut Bertha's ear cut off. Freehanding I don't have that problem. The only thing to remember is to make tabs or earlets that interlock. Just my $0.02. Fredfret Wichita Ks

Len Those are pictures that I have taken on Lake of the Woods. One is the marina where we keep our boat and the other is one of the anchorages that we enjoyed last summer! No scrolling going on there!!
fredfret
By freehand I mean that no pattern is used. I use color lines in the picture, or just cut interesting shapes with interlocks. Carter Johnson and Dee Rogers both have videos of free hand cutting on you tube. Steve Goods patterns are good practice for making interlocks. I used to fish Northern Manitoba first week in June every year when the ice was going out. Lived in Grand Forks and visited Winnipeg often.
