Frank Pellow
I purchased two of these patterns (The Pellows and The Harrises) from Steve Good. Steve has not caught up with the modern reality that many couples have different surnames, therefore I had to come up with the third one (Jon and Kristel) myself. The parts were cut from 3mm Baltic Birch plywood, painted with acrylic paint, then sprayed with clear varnish. The Pellow wreath is hanging on our front door. Lucky2
Frank, these look great, you did a very nice job. I do have a question about one though, are you sure of the spelling of the Harrises one? Shouldn't it be Harris's, the same as Pellow's, shouldn't it have an apostrophe instead of just the s on the end? If you type the names out on your computer, they show up with a red line under them, meaning they are spelled the wrong way. But if you type the names out with the apostrophes, there is no red line under them. So that indicates, that they are spelled the proper way. Something to keep in mind, when you spell names in the plural, they usually require an apostrophe. No one else might mention or notice this, so I wouldn't worry about it on these ones. Len I think that I am correct. The names reflects multiple members of the Harris (and Pellow) family so is plural rather than possessive. My wife, who is an ex teacher and very good in English agrees with me. So, for the record, does Steve good who created the pattern for the Pellow and Harris signs.
