Delta 40-540 Air Diaphragm Replacement?

Need help locating a replacement or cross reference a air diaphragm & a air nozzle for a Delta 40-540 16" variable speed. Just starting out scrolling, the saw was given to me. I have cleaned up all the rust and lubed it..........runs great, but no air moves across my work piece due to a dry rotted air diaphragm. Unable to located a new or cross reference part. Try eparts, they have parts for almost everything.  Prices seem to be reasonable.  They also show the blown apart machine, which is a great help in finding the part.

Roger That........I did.......no luck, every website I have visited states discontinued or out of stock.

Your best bet may be to get an aquarium air pump.  I did this on one of my saws.  Found one at resale shop for $1.00.  Actually works better than the factory diaphragm did.

My solution to this problem was to get a dogs squeaky toy, remove the squeaker and put the pipe in the hole, then glue the squeaker under the bottom arm.

You beat me to it. I was going to suggest a fish tank pump. They work great.

I use an aquarium pump and tubing. If you saw really sow like I do the bellows are pretty much worthless. The pump is blowing a nice stream of air all the time. Cheap and works forever.

I would go with the smallest one. You don't need much air and they put out pretty good.

Should be under $10 and that includes the tubing.

As most have said go with an air pump. Even when new the blowers on the Delta saws were pretty lame. Although the squeaky toy idea is very clever.

Looks like a quick easy right now way is with an aquarium air pump,But i have that ss250 delta saw that i use for my rattle can paint shaker .I can check to see if the diagram is good and send it to you if you like.
