wombatie Posted January 1, 2018 Report Posted January 1, 2018 I found that very interesting. Do many people still eat black eyed peas and greens on New Years Day? What do mustard greens taste like? Marg Quote

What do mustard greens taste like? Marg I think it is more of a tradition in the southern states in the USA. Black eyed peas and either collard greens or turnip greens. Mustard greens to a lesser extent as they are hard to find. In the northern states where I grew up (western NY) it was cabbage. I've lived in GA since 1971 and just love turnip greens and collard greens! cooked with some fatback or ham. And pepper sauce a must! Scrappile 1 Quote
