Tui on a flax flower (take 2)

I recently posted this Tui plaque and mentioned that I had kept the waste portion since I had got it out in one piece.

 

Here it is, with a couple of small bits removed, sprayed matt black and surface mounted in relief on another piece of rimu.  The original cutting has already sold so let's hope this one does too.

Rob, getting two sellable pieces out of one cutting, is quite ingenious. To bad we couldn't do that with all of the cuttings we do, it would be much more profitable.
