I like the way you framed it using the two different woods.

thanks!

believe it or not, that was a mistake. i made this inside dimensions of the frames the same size as the work. DOH!

i happened to have some oak in the lumber rack so cut/planed some down to 1/2" by 1/2" and cut to fit.

That looks outstanding, great work.  Really like the frame and the way it came out.  What a super way to cover your a -- -  with the use of oak trim.  Wonderful save.

thanks for showing it to us.

The best skill to have as a woodworker is the ability to be able to fix mistakes.

Unfortunately " one who masters the ability to fix mistake first must make many mistake." lol.

Tom, they're very nice looking cuttings, and I imagine they were fairly tough to complete. I can see them, but not all that well. What did you take the pics with, there seems to be a fog over the pics.

That came out great. I also did one of Iwo Jima but a little different. I had a lot of stars to cut and they were a pain to do. I didn't frame it though. maybe I should.

its quite amazing what a frame can do. with this one, i think the right mat and framed it would be outstanding
