tomsteve Posted January 6, 2018 Author Report Posted January 6, 2018 marg, ya'll do have some very nice woods in australia i would love to have a supply of. we have a menards locally that opened about a year or so ago. that had a LOT of the blue stain pine in 4" and 6" wide and 8 and 10 foot length. a lot, as in entire bunks. if i would have thought a bit about it then i would have seriously stocked up. this time i had to do some digging to find a pair of 1 by 6's with the stain. Ber Gueda Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 Impressive job. Congratulations. On the blue stains: Where I live these kind od stains are extremely common and not very liked. As far as I am concerned it's caused by a totally harmless fungus, but because of its aspect, this wood is normally dismissed. I have plenty of it because od that. I am not sure if I am talking about the same blue stains that you can see on the frame of the picture, but they looks like it. I personally like them very much. Quote
