WayneG Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) its spectacular, if you are painting the pieces before before assembly does that mean you tape off all those little details and spray paint? if so that must be tricky... or is it intarsia? Edited January 15, 2018 by WayneG Quote
oldhudson Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Very creative and well executed. It would have been interesting to see pics during the process, especially your original drawings. Quote

Thanks, What I do is cut out all the pieces and write on the back side what color they are supposed to be. Then I put a piece of blue tape upside down so the sticky side is up onto card stock. I use one piece of card stock per color. i stick all the pieces to the according card stock. I them can paint them one color at a time and they all stay seperate. Once dry its like putting a puzzle together. Quote
Scrappile Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Tony, you make it sound so simple, but I have been trying to paint a picture frame for 4 days now. I finally just decided it is good enough, but it is certainly not perfect like your painting. What brand of "rattle can" paint do you like? Quote
spirithorse Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Great work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse Quote

Huh, so it kinda is like intarsia then but your not sanding down the edges or anything...Not sure I completely understand but in any case its not likely something that I would pursue doing as I am not sure I have the skill or patience.... for now I will just look, enjoy and be awestruck with your work, its quite spectacular, I hope you sell your work cause you should crupiea 1 Quote
