It would be easier to paint black but I just can't bring myself to do it. Just don't like the look of painted wood behind a natural finished one. I'm crazy i guess. I use paint cause acrylic paint is much cheaper than veneer... easy to get over if you think of it that way UNLESS you are selling them at a specific price point or to a specific population...
