dwg
Thank you for the welcome........ I have been doing scroll work (Fret work as we say in the UK) off and on for 30 + years sadly more off than on. I moved to Norfolk from London in 1971 and found out about "Hobbies" of East Dereham an old Fret saw company founded in 1890s which went on to grow very large, I started with a 1920 treadle fret saw and then on to a Delta and I'm now using a De-Walt DW788 which is the best so far Derek
amazingkevin
Very very interesting!.That treadle would make anybody proud as a peacock to do fretwork back in the day. That adds a kick to scrolling, pumping the treadle! lol.Draws alot of curiousity out of me to wanna try one. Travis
Hi Derek. Welcome to the Village. We're glad you found us. We have quite a good group of folks from the UK. I went to school for a semester in London (study abroad program in college). I really fell in love with that city. I look forward to seeing your treadle saw. I'd love to get my hands on an old Barnes Velocipede treadle scroll saw. But they're pretty rare. But I still keep my eye open. Anyway, I think you'll have a great time here. Jump in and have some fun!
