I'd agree with meflick, the blade entry hole is at the back edge of the wing where it meets the body, that being said, awesome work dude !!!!

Very nicely done. I also did a couple of inlays and then never went back to trying them again. Your nicely done cross is inspiring me to give it another try soon.  They are fun to do, Not sure why I have shied away from doing more.. Thanks for posting your cross. I could feel the excitement in your voice and you were describing doing the work.
