wombatie Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Went to the doctors today to get the results from a CT scan I had a couple of days ago. Not good. There is a ligment that runs down the centre of your leg at the front, I tore that. Underneath that ligament is a bone, I fractured and chiped that. Now in a moon boot and waiting for an appointment at the hospital in the Orthopaedics dept. But at least with the boot on I can get into the garage when its not too hot. Gordster Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Hi Marg, sounds like we are twins...I had a torn ham string..{don't have a clue how I got that}.That eased up and moved to front of knee.Went back to doctor,he says its a shin splint. Now I have to take baby steps on stairs and walking with a limp. Mine is good compared to yours though.Stay healthy girl and rest it up.Sit in the shade and get a bell and ring it when you want another ice tea....Take care and be well wombatie 1 Quote

meflick Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Oh no Marg. That is not good. Sorry to hear your fall did such a bad job on your leg. Glad they put in the " moon boot" (I assume that is the same or similar to what we call as an "air cast" boot. Glad it allows you more mobility and ability to get out to your saw some. Hope you get into the Ortho''s soon and it heals quickly and without issue for you. Prayers said for you. wombatie 1 Quote

RangerJay Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Ouch - hope you get well soon - and come back better and stronger then ever!! I'm in week 5 now after 2nd knee replacement - getting out into the shed every day for a couple hours at a time - riding the bike and walking the treadmill in the basement - still some difficulty sleeping at night but otherwise life is quickly returning back to normal ..... feels good ..... hope things go just as well for you. tgiro Posted January 29, 2018 Report Posted January 29, 2018 Sounds like a good time to lay back, keep that foot up, and relax for a couple of days. Wine and a good book or binge watch a tv series will help. wombatie 1 Quote
WayneMahler Posted January 29, 2018 Report Posted January 29, 2018 Best of luck with everything. Getting back in the shop is therapeutic and fun. But please be careful while waiting for the next appointment. Don't overdo it and remember to rest up so the next step goes better and quicker. wombatie 1 Quote
