Purchasing Resources?

Would anyone care to share their purchasing resources? I'm looking for a good place to buy blades and other incidentals.

I know about Amazon of course, which I use for most of my purchases (about 95%), big box stores etc.

I'm more interested in lesser known sites, deal sites etc.

I have and use the following:

  • Rockler.com - all kinds of stuff, but I buy mostly Dust related from here
  • Woodworkingshop.com - my sand paper supplier
  • Clockparts.com - I need a better resource for clock parts
  • ptreeusa.com - Another general site I use
  • wynnenv.com - Filters for dust control
  • mlcswoodworking.com - router bits and stuff
  • cpooutlets.com - For refurbished tools - I've bought several, very good deals and no problems with the tools
  • harborfreight.com - my cheap go to for disposables and my coupons
  • grizzly.com - I find them a bit too pricey for me
  • eagleamerica.com - router stuff
  • framingsupplies.com - framing stuff although I make my own frames
  • framedestination.com - framing glass U/V
  • kregtool.com - Jigs and things

I got these from posts here:

  • papermart.com - Shrink bags
  • ocoochhardwoods.com - plywood

Anything else I'm missing?

Thanks in advance

I've done a lot of research on clocks over the last few years.. and at a small scale standpoint.. I'd purchase from woodworkingparts.com for movements... they are the USA made movements that clockparts.com charges the premium price for and they get them from the same suppliers..

Sloans is the place to get the clock inserts. which is also the same inserts as those others.. but cheaper cost..

I buy mine large scale from a company in China.. which are actually the same ones the suppliers above are selling.. but most people aren't looking to buy 500+ clocks at a pop either.. so the above places should be good sources at reasonable prices on a smaller scale..

We have a new sponsor on SSVBear Woods sells Pegas brand blades.  I've been playing around with them and really like them.  Fast delivery, too.  Tell them SSV sent you.  ;)

On a side note, I'm putting together a section on suppliers.  It'll be similar to the Pattern Shops section, but for parts, supplies, and tool suppliers.  I'm hoping I can get that finished up by next week.

Travis, not to take anything away from Bear but I bought my first batch of Pegas blades from them before I realized they were in Canada. It took 2 weeks or more to get my order so the next time I'm going to give D & D a try. Just sayin...........
