Fonts - have a favorite to work with?

I'm working on modifying a few of the patterns I've downloaded and thought I'd add some text to the bottom

Are there any particular fonts you all favor, specifically when the text is a simple subtitle below an item.

The fonts I use varies. I like Times New Roman and Bookman Old Style. Both are fairly simple and fairly easy to convert to scrolling. For script Birds of Paradise is nice to work with. You can find fonts at DaFonts.com. Lots of selections up there or just google free fonts and it will give you a list of places.

I agree with Wayne (usually do, he is a wise old bugger)!

I use Inkscape.  When deciding a font to use, I just type any long word.  Without SELECTING the word, start at the top of the font selection & eyeball something that might work.  If you "kinda" like that, jot the name of the font on a scratch paper.  Keep moving down the selections & keep jotting down the "possibles" & make your final decision after narrowing it down to what you have on your scratch paper.

None in paticular.I use Western style a lot.Then I use Curve style when cutting my autoTrying to stay true to the era.

For cut out text like the OP's picture my favourite font is Scroll Beach Italic. For stand up words it's Cooper Black.

Hi Jes, Here are a selection of the Fonts that I have used, Their are a lot more out there if you look on the internet!

The ones you see here are free, As for which are My favorites...They all are, It depends which type of wordart

Now that Travis has shown us how to add out own bridges I use whatever looks best.  

I do have a lot of scrollable fonts I have accumulated ever since the Free4all days.
