81K Potentiometer

I need a 81K pot for my hawk controller. There are perhaps a thousand different types, linear, watts, ohms etc. I've done a google and ebay search. I'm confused. The only thing on the pot is Mouser 81K. I've searched Mouser and the selection is mind boggling. Awhile back someone posted what I needed but I can;t find the post. Whoever you are I would be grateful  that information.  There are electronic supply houses here but I no longer drive Denver traffic. I just want to order on line.

All the different pots that are available usually apply to other things like shaft length, degrees of rotation, thread diameter for the housing hole. As long as you know the ohm rating on the pot and can measure the shaft length and hole size the only thing left would be the amount of rotation. It should be fairly easy to match it up. Also, the folks who sell on eBay will answer questions when you take the time to ask. I've had good response times in most cases.

Problem is I can't use a phone very well so calling providers is out of the question. I know about pots. It's just that there thousands of various kinds. Used to be much simpler when I was doing TV repair years ago. I just got my parts and tubes from an electronics supplier. Back then there were not that many types. They are interchangeable to some degree.

Just go to the seller that was listed above and on that site there will be a place to ask the seller a question. You should be able to give them all the info you have on what you need and they can give you an answer. No phone necessary.

Just so you know.. the 81K you have marked on your pot.. that 8 is actually a B (b).. it's a B1K Pot.. the link I posted is what i used to replace mine.. pretty sure the one you have would be the same as our saws are quit close to the same era.. mine is a 1998 Ultra 226.. anyway like I said the 81K is actually a B1K

Like Ray said.. not much difference in them other than shaft sizes and length etc..  The one linked above has a slightly different shaft.. but my dial fit on it and when I tighten the set screw down it works just fine.. just like the old one did..

I think this post got off topic.. but while we're at it.. I don't watch ANY sport on TV.. and rarely even watch TV. Only time I will is if we get movies and I even have a hard time getting interested then. Guess TV just isn't my thing... Other than those shows that show car builds like Gas Monkey garage and Diesel Brothers type stuff... oh and the American Pickers.. Like that show Billy the Exterminator show to but haven't seen that on anymore..  anyway.. I don't take control of the remote in my house and maybe at best. watch 2-3 hours of TV a month..  Oh I shouldn't say any sport. I do like watching SOME of the Olympics games.. but don't go out of my way to come in from the shop to watch this stuff.. :)

Ray,

right car manufacture but wrong number, go 18

I'm sorry RJ but this is where you and I would part company. I can't stand the driver of the 18 car. I won't even say his name is dislike him so much. But that's ok because Baskin-Robbins made a fortune providing 31 flavors for everybody to enjoy. I do love seeing his car going into the wall but unfortunately, he takes my guy along with him. Bummer!

I don't follow NASCAR but three years ago my son-in-law drove the semi tractor for Furniture Row for the season. My grandson has the hood from one of the cars mounted n the wall of his garage. My son-in-law said it was a lot of fun but it's a young man's job. It was a lot of work. One season was enough.

Well, he was driving for the premier racing organization in my book. I'm waiting for my Martin Trues 2017 championship hat as we speak. I ordered it right after he won and I'm waiting. They told me it would be soon.
