Just got the pattern removed. Took me 2 hours, to remove it, I think for this kind of detail cutting I will go back to painters tape instead of the clear shelf liner.

This is a Charles Hand pattern.  I took off about 1/2" of the pattern all the way around, which really only left out some of the brush.  This gave me more border for the piece of wood I used.  Now I see I didn't get my borders the same all the way around.  Still trying to figure how I managed that.  I will fix when I decide how I want to frame it.

Cut in Basswood.  Mr. Hand has nice patterns.

that is gorgeous, I would not be concerned about the difference bet the top and bottom, just shave the left side a bit...

how thick? I love the painters tape, when I see good deals on it I just buy loads of it.....

It is 5/16"

Darn it Paul, I do not know who to blame.  You for posting the project or me for showing it to Jan.  Her first words were "that will be nice to paint!"  You notice the "will" part?  Went to Charles Hand's site and now she can't make up her mind on which owl pattern to order (maybe all three):lol::lol:

I can't wait to see that.  I want to try coloring one a little one of these days, but I will try it on a simpler pattern first.
