Scrolling Steve Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 My wife, who plays dulcimer, saw the 2018 spring edition SSW and loved the trinket box patterns....She asked if I would try the pick shaped one for her to store her many dulcimer picks....This is the result...used what i had on hand, BB and cherry,,,,I have to say it was a first for me...My first attempt at inlay and flocking......Thanks to Dave Monk for help with questions about the inlay...Flocking was not that difficult and enhances the inside of the box......The most important thing is the wife likes it !.....Comments welcome, Steve. heppnerguy Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 Nice work on the inlay and designing of the piece. Sure is nice to have so many people here in the village that is willing to lend a helping hand when needed. I, personally am glad your wife asked you to make this for her, as now you have tried something new and pushed your own envelop just a little. I wonder what this will inspire you to do in the future.. Thanks for posting this great little box Dick heppnerguy Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

Lucky2 Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 Steve, you did a great job making this pick holder, but wouldn't it be a bit large in someone's pocket? Len Quote
