spirithorse Posted February 10, 2018 Report Posted February 10, 2018 Beautiful! I imagine you probably had to turn the mug shape on a lathe to get that great shape, correct? God Bless! Spirithorse Aggie 1 Quote

Spirithorse Nope all were cut on the scroll saw and used a belt sander to get the rough spots out and the rest hand sanded, the base on the beer mug was cut at a angle and hand sanded. GPscroller Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Love them all, but the third one (bamboo????) has really neat grain. Great job. Jeff Aggie 1 Quote
new2woodwrk Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Wow, those are very cool - can't wait till I can do something like that! Thanks for sharing Aggie 1 Quote
spirithorse Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Thanks for th reply, Terry! I am even more impressed that you can be that accurate with the scrollsaw and sanding on a circular object like that. I have only tried one scrollsaw bowl (pattern by Russell aka Birchbark) and had to sand forever. Of course, that is a little different since you are drilling and cutting at an angle. Your mugs are absolutely outstanding! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse Aggie 1 Quote
