new2woodwrk
Ok, even before I ask this, I think it may be one of the dumbest questions I've ever asked LOL When mounting the blade, I know the burrs are supposed to point down correct? However, does the blade mount with burrs facing the front of the saw or the rear? I have mine facing the front, but when I hear/read articles about the direction of moving the wood, it sounds like the blade is facing the rear of the saw. Thanks in advance OCtoolguy and SCROLLSAW703

SCROLLSAW703
Your question brings up a few thoughts. Takin' into consideration your beginners' knowledge, installin' a blade can be done with the "burrs" to the front or back, dependin' on the need in your project. You can install the blade w/the teeth away from you if get into a project that has inside directional cuts, & sometimes, fretwork. You can feed your project into the blade just as if it were turned around. It takes practice, & time to learn to work backwards, so to speak. And, yes, as trackman said, the teeth normally fit facin' you, pointin' down. jm .02. new2woodwrk and OCtoolguy
Lucky2
Jes, the only blade that cuts in all directions is a spiral blade, sometimes regular blades are installed backwards to assist in oversize cuttings. crupiea
Down and front like others have sid. Tht of course does not mean that I have not tried it facing the rear. It just does not work right that way. new2woodwrk and OCtoolguy
