I found they are small but easy to cut also you can dye them different colors. What type of wood did you use for the clock and the rino ? I found the Tagua nuts quite easy to cut, they are small but blade cuts them easy I have not tried to dye them myself, but have seen a few websites around that you can order coloured ones from The Rhino was cut from red mallee burl, the clock was made from a burl too, I cant recall what kind it was.
