Rockytime
I just finished Iggy's buffalo pattern. It is cut from a pine board because it is what I have. I used a #5 Pegas MG blade. I was pleasantly surprised how easily the Pegas blade followed lines. I had been using FD Polar blades which worked fine. Just decided to vary things. It took about three hours cutting. I have no idea how Iggy cuts so fast. I don't have a lot of time for scrolling. This past week my clock repair business was slow and gave me some extra time. My repair business is coming to an end. I started in 1976. It's been a long run but a good one. Hopefully I'll be doing more scrolling in the future. new2woodwrk, 3Dface, stoney and 4 others

wombatie
And another one is bitten. Looks good Rocky. There will always be one or two people wanting a clock repairer but it is a dying trade, because its either digital or throw away nowadays. blights69
Great job do not beat yourself on time taken remember Iggy cuts these daily every day and as you know if you do that you get quicker and quicker. You could of course put this into practise as you have some more time now and try and see if it is true, it is a win win you get to scroll more iggy sells more patterns and I get to know if it is true without having to do all the puzzles to prove it Sorry to hear about the repair side slowing down I hate to see the old school jobs going but it is a time of digital and throw away society that we now live in why people do not try to fix is beyond me but then I am older in my head than my birth certificate states Hope all works out as you want but the flip side is look at all the projects you wanted to do while too busy that you now have time to focus on. heppnerguy
nice job on the animal puzzle. Everyone cuts at a different speed and we all know that speed is not what is important in scrolling but rather the end results. I would rather take 2 days to cut something and be completely satisfied with the results, then to hurry and cut a lot of mediocre pieces, (although I do often get so excited about finishing a piece that I tend to relax a little too much sometimes) Dick heppnerguy

Then why is it, I do not hear your saw humming and your grandson egging you on to get that buffalo finished for him? Rockytime
At my age I am never in a hurry. No desire to cut fast. Mostly I was trying the Pegas blades and I really like them. The clock business has not slowed down, I have. Four clocks came in this morning. It still pays the bills. I still make pens but the scrolling is much more relaxing. I love it. stoney

My youngest grandson is a Junior in college with a football scholarship. Girls and football are the only thing he is interested now. If in time great grandchildren but by that time I will no longer be around although that would be nice.

stoney
Nice job Les. When done as a hobby time is pretty insignificant at least to me. Thanks for showing us.
