Frank Pellow
Hey, I really like New Zealand and have even thought of living there. But, a price like this for Baltic Birch Plywood is a strong deterrent. It makes me wonder about just how expensive other woodworking supplies and tools would be. So whoever does import it can charge what they like. Oh well, back to my reclaimed rimu! Rob OCtoolguy

It is a beautiful country but a lot of things are really expensive here. Some of that is due to our remoteness but a lot of it is lack of competition. OCtoolguy
Just for the sake of saying, isn't BB usually sold in 5' x 5' panels? At that rate, they are sending a very odd sizing. Or am I wrong? Also, I see that they ship it from the U.S. to anywhere in NZ. Most of that cost has to be in the shipping and import fees. OCtoolguy
Just for the heck of it, I just went to their site and ordered 8 pieces 1/4" x 12" x 24". They don't offer it in the same size as that add so I just doubled the order to get the same board footage. It was $10 each but because I was ordering 8, I got it for $8 each. Free shipping to my home in So Cal. $80 total. Something doesn't make sense in that ad. R Edited February 28, 2018 by octoolguy
Chiloquinruss
I really don't see the problem, folks. I mean after all it does say "PREMIUM"! I think I would take up rock polishing before putting out that kinda cash! Russ OCtoolguy
