kmmcrafts
I had a custom order request early this week and I thought I'd make the requested Brittany clock from a puzzle pattern.. Just finished cutting this... Still needs a mounting base and a sanding and finish applied.. Just can't decide if I like it or not.. Thinking I should have put the clock out front of the dog.. but was trying to keep it small so I put it there under the dog.. What you all think? I can always finish making a puzzle out of it and make another style clock Maybe the I needs more definition at the bottom? LOL anyway .. having fun playing around making ornamental fire wood ... This way I get to enjoy the saw time.. then later I get to enjoy the camp fire time with family laughing at my mistakes Lucky2, Phantom Scroller, frankorona and 2 others
Iguanadon
Nice Kevin. Yeah, sometimes going from puzzle to non-puzzle takes some tweaking with the lettering. The Brittany and the Rottweiler both have the odd lettering in them. kmmcrafts
rjR
It is nice as is. The next dog/clock puzzle could have the dog with the BALL(clock) in front of the dog, just an idea. kmmcrafts, new2woodwrk and amazingkevin

Thank you for the suggestion..
meflick
I honk it looks ok as is. Especially if you put a nice looking base on it. Since you think you want to do one with the clock like a ball, why not go ahead and make that one. Show both to the client, and let them decide. Take pictures of both and put on your site then when people order, they can “see” both and make their choice. kmmcrafts
Brianr24
I think it looks really nice. It might look better out front but tough to say without seeing it. Another thing is maybe make the reveal of wood around the clock much smaller. Just a thought. kmmcrafts

new2woodwrk
Looks fine to me - agree about the ball though - in front would look more "natural" - but heck, I'm new at this - what the heck do I know LOL kmmcrafts

JTTHECLOCKMAN
I too am in favor in front. I would use a larger insert (2")and keep the size of the holder because it is proportional to the size of the dog. The whole project looks tall comparing to the size of the insert. rdatelle
I think it looks pretty good. The only thing I would would be to make the clock circle a little smaller.
Lucky2
Kevin, I like this, and I think it's fine where you placed the clock. Len
