WLDraper
I have found that a 1960’s style typewriter stand makes a really quality stand for a scroll saw. The one pictured here was made by the Tiffany Stand Company and there are still a lot of them available in flea markets and Second-Hand Stores. They were built out of heavy quality steel, welded joinery and they have a nice set of coasters with a foot lever to easily move the whole stand. I built the little drawer stand to attach on top and it provides a convenient location to store blades and other small items. Also attached a foot pedal on a little plywood bracket that sets flush with the floor when the casters are up. The unit is rock solid and vibration free. OCtoolguy
That looks like it would be perfect for my Hegner. I want to get it down off the tall stand it came with. I like to sit when sawing. I'm going to start scouring all the used sites at once. Ray WayneMahler

OCtoolguy
I just found on C/L a few of these. The prices are all over the place. One very near where I live, the guy is asking $90. There are two just like it about an hour away for $30 each. I emailed the close by one to see if he would take less. He has had it advertised for 2 weeks. He came back a strong NO and thinks his is worth the $90. I wished him luck. I can't imagine there is a huge market for them. eBay has a bunch too but all back East and no shipping. So, what's the going price for a "vintage typewriter stand"? Ray
Karl S
Fantastic stand good thinking on your part. I will have to keep my eyes open and perhaps swipe your idea. OCtoolguy
