..............band saw.

My first project on the Delta.
This is scrap 2x4, laminated for practice making puzzle boxes.
Cut to block size on the band saw......the rest of the work done
on the Delta.

I'm  giving myself a not bad for my vast ~10 hrs of experience.
I'm thinking redwood would be a better choice.  Much softer.
That doug fir 2x4 is pretty hard.
...so, instead of thinking outside the box.....get into the box.
I'll see you on the road.

Not too badly done except it looks like you must have been using a much bigger blade than necessary.
My main question would be, doesn't the size of stroke on the scroll saw really limit the size of box you can make?

I'm definitely not trying to be critical here. I wanted to make some of these on a small bench top band-saw and
couldn't even get the band-saw tuned up to keep the blade running straight between the rollers. Therefore,
I never created any of these boxes after hours and hours of working on the saw and watching videos on how to
set up the saw. At least you know you CAN make the boxes.

God Bless! Spirithorse
