My brother gave me the 3/4” worm eaten Oak. 321 for the finish but I have a few more coats to put on it. Thanks for looking. meflick
That is just beautiful Dan. I really like it with the "live" edge on it. Since your brother gave you the wood, is he going to want it back when he sees how nice it looks now? Thanks for sharing. Fish
Scrappile
Bet that was not real easy to cut, that thick, oak and lots of beautiful grain. You did a wonderful job of it. Fish

Frank Pellow
The wood is perfect for the sign. And. you have managed to do very precise cutting on what must have been a difficult to cut wood slab. Fish

penquin
Looks great and super selection of wood. Did you do anything to prevent any more worm damage to it? Also what is a 1 2 3 finish, know about BLO and mineral spirits but not this one. very nice. jim penquin Fish

Wipe or brush it on and let it soak then wipe off excess. It dries pretty fast. My brother told me of it, I looked it up online too. It always seems to look best with three coats. It's a free pattern from Shelia Landry. She does great work.

heppnerguy
Really cool with the wood of choice. Adds so much to the sign that is usually cut in BB Birch...(that would be me ) Dick heppnerguy Fish
