Paladin
I cut some of Alex's layered puppies last week and finished them off last night. I was thinking they would make good magnets. Has anybody had good success with attaching magnets to a finished piece? I was thinking maybe gel c/a glue should work well, but wanted to tap into our knowledge database we have here to see if there is something better suited for this. Thanks, Steve

JTTHECLOCKMAN
Good choices on the above methods and I will throw another in the mix. I like to use epoxy and in this case 5 minute epoxy is all that is needed. My go to epoxy is the System III epoxy line. MrsN
I have had good luck with hot glue for some magnets on my fridge, but any that I have given away I use 5 minute epoxy. SCROLLSAW703 and JTTHECLOCKMAN

Sycamore67
I use Bob Smith epoxy that I buy on Amazon. I use small pill cups to mix the epoxy and have a small scale to get the ratio correct. SCROLLSAW703
trackman
I use two part epoxy. Get piece of scrap wood, put equal amounts on board, get toothpick an stir. Works for me. SCROLLSAW703
Jim McDonald
2 part epoxy, but I also countersink the magnets so they are in a bed of glue. SCROLLSAW703
Paladin
never thought of sinking them, I might have to test that out.
Rolf
I drill a recess so that the magnet is just slightly proud then use "thick" CA glue.
