new2woodwrk
Nice cuts - any particular reason people would order MDF? I would think most people don't know what MDF is, no? I was just going to post a question about anyone using MDF for projects as well Thanks for sharing Edited April 18, 2018 by new2woodwrk Luperez548

What are you using for the finish. Bob Hi, lot of dust collected, hopefully some money is collected as well. MDF is a little bit complicated for finishing. After several intents the best way I found based on products available in local market is quite simple. First to all I prepare a kind of ........ Sorry I don't recall the name of the product, LOL ( gloss.), but I get 1 part of white glue and 1 part of water, get both mixed and apply it softly into the mdf, make sure the firs coat is gently applied in order to avoid damage in the face of the MDF. Get it dryer and repit, some sanding and it will be ready for paint. After painted, aply one more coat of the proper es gloss and you got it. That's my way

It is not too much difficult, just make sure not putting high speed in the scrollsaw and let the blade get the work done, don't push to much, this will avoid getting the blade burned. lawson56
