Fish
I know we talk a lot about these blades but I have been searching the web to buy some. Anyone know where the cheapest price is? So far what I've found is Hawk Woodworking. ( Hawk Scroll saws )They are cheaper on Flying Dutchman than any others I can find. Any other places to buy cheaper? Thanks OCtoolguy
OCtoolguy
I think most everybody is buying them from The Wooden Teddybear. I think you can still buy them from Mike's too. Ray SCROLLSAW703

NC Scroller
Wooden Teddy Bear is the exclusive supplier /wholesaler for the U.S. and I believe Canada. In other words all sellers in the U.S. Gets their blades from Wooden Teddy Bear. They also sell direct to the public through the Wooden Teddy Bear and Mike's Workshop web site. Yes, speaking from Canada, that's where I get mine. And, I should add that Mike's Workshop service is great! Dan
FDUR blades are 30 cents per dozen cheaper from Hawk than from Wooden Teddy Bear and Mike's site. http://stores.bushtonhawkstore.com/blades-and-bits/?sort=featured&page=2 https://mikesworkshop.com/collections/blades http://www.woodenteddybearonline.com/x/home.php?cat=550&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=3 Fish, new2woodwrk and OCtoolguy
JustLarry
To find the best deal, I usually compare shipping cost, bulk discount, and cost per item. Sometimes the lower cost per item looses value when you factor in shipping. I still like the $3.00 shipping from Mike's. Fish
Hawk is the cheapest I have found too. Shipping for $165 of blades I ordered is $5. From Kansas to Illinois. My order will ship Monday, I ordered late today. One strange thing with the site is they ship anywhere here in The states but it said it couldn't ship certain sizes. I called and they explained the site would say that sometimes. That needs to be fixed. I should have enough blades for quite awhile now OCtoolguy
Woodmaster1
I buy from the local woodworking store. I might pay a little more but the convenience of getting them when I need blades is worth it. I try buying from the woodworking store whenever I can for my woodworking needs. In an age when most American's are purchasing everything on-line you've taken the position of buying local. I don't know if you or those like you can save 'brick and mortar stores' but I certainly admire your efforts. fredfret
I would buy local but all the stores here only have the really crappy blades.
Woodmaster1
The woodworking store tries to keep their prices close to mail order. They sell name brand equipment and supplies. They offer free classes on everything woodworking. They also have exotic and domestic wood at reasonable prices. They listen to needs of the local woodworkers and try to supply those needs. They employ some of the members of the woodworking club as salespeople and to teach classes.
