oldhudson Posted April 25, 2018 Report Share Posted April 25, 2018 I'm working on a project for a family member who was recently married. I want to add the date of their wedding. To keep the scale correct with the other elements the letters/numbers should be about 1" high. I need something that flows more calligraphy or handwritten versus stencil or sans serif. I can't find anything that I think I can cut without making a mess of things. Looking for suggestions for all you experienced scrollers. I went to Da Fonts but they want users to download a font. I thought they used to let users make a line or two for trial purposes (and copy the image) rather than download. Did that change or is my imagine wrong? WayneMahler Posted April 25, 2018 Report Share Posted April 25, 2018 I just looked at some patterns I did for custom work. Some of the script fonts may be a little delicate. But they are Vladimir Script, Script MT Bold, and French Script MT. DaFont shows what the font looks like but I believe you have to download and install it to use it. Best of luck in your search. I'm using Win10 now and it comes with the tool, but when I was still using Win7, I downloaded it from Microsoft with no problems. If you like the snip tool, do a google for Jing. It's the same thing but better and it's always active no matter what program you have open. I use it all the time in my email program. Here is a small modification for the small areas that may help some. If you are cutting it into a plaque , you will need these openings as I did with the 'D' and 'G' or you will end up with a hole instead of a letter, But I guess you probably already know all this.
