Do you have a pattern? Hey Dan, these are made from pine wood, I do my pattern over a MDF fold to place it over the wood and draw around. Sides are 2" x 1/4". I use steam to get soft wood before jointing it with the bottom part. I sued 1" nails in the border. Basically need to work with the table saw and some scrollsaw touchs. I once built a small row boat for my daughter to use as an ice chest for canned drinks at her wedding. It probably took 40 hours and it got used once. At least your boats will get more use than mine.
