What many people don't realize is at several times through out US  history, Alabama attempted to annex NW Florida  since most of it's NW Florida residents were from Alabama, and it was easier to trade and do business rather than travel to central Florida.

Anyway, the short answer is yes, 65 miles to Dothan Al

Yes I am,about 5 mile. 30 miles From Florence Al.
