Mingo county is in the state of West Virginia I live in Wayne county West Virginia one county north of Mingo. A county is a division of the state similar to a parish. KY is the abbreviation for the state of Kentucky which borders WV on the west side. As for the Bloody Mingo go back to my introduction post. It more or less explains the Hatfield and McCoy feud.
