A first for me

This is a Sue Mey pattern and it is the first time that I used the torch to burn the wood, I kind of like the results.

Totally agree!  I have used a light torching many times on all sorts of things; then a quick poly spray to keep the blackened from migrating.

Looks great with the torched edges. Brings back great memories of squirrel hunting. Wish I could still do it but I don't think I'd eat a squirrel anymore so I'll just watch em play.
