Customer needs it 1 inch ready to add to end of crib so would like it smooth and redy to go. He is in Indiana where I did work for him before I moved to NC. Phantom Scroller Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) I usually go to the cheap shop over here like B & M etc and find pine shelving with the brackets for £4.99 for a 4 ft length and then cut it up and even use the wooden brackets. Dan Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Where in Indiana? There's a lumber yard in Cincinnati that carries a great assortment of hardwoods, softwood, and exotics for reasonable prices. WayneMahler and OCtoolguy 2 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Maybe Hobby Lobby or Michael's crafts for a pine shelf like Roly mentioned. R Quote

fredfret Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 1 inch clear pine could be very hard to find as most starts as 1 inch and is planed or sanded to 3/4 by the mills. Fredfret OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Travis Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 Go to Lowes or Home Depot and look for select pine stair treads. I think those are 1" thick. I used one for a cabinet top just recently and worked pretty well. See if that works for you. JTTHECLOCKMAN and OCtoolguy 1 1 Quote
