Popular Post wombatie Posted May 5, 2018 Popular Post Report Posted May 5, 2018 Dick ( @heppnerguy ) asked me to post a photo of my pocket angels that I give to people in need. The patterns are by Sue Mey and I think there are about 10 or 12 in the set, here is a photo of just 2 of them. Marg lawson56, dgman, Dave Monk and 8 others 8 3 Quote

heppnerguy Posted May 5, 2018 Report Posted May 5, 2018 I love these.. We had a guy in Heppner, Oregon that made little crosses and he handed them out to people he thought could use a little comfort or congratulations for a personal thing they had done that meant something special to someone else and invited them to pass it on to someone else they thought might need one. He did that for years and they were so loved and appreciated. He died a couple of years ago but left a nice legacy for it crosses that will be remembered for a long time to come.. I think I will start to do this with these little angels too. Thank you for taking the time to post these and enthuse me . Dick heppnerguy wombatie 1 Quote
dgman Posted May 5, 2018 Report Posted May 5, 2018 I love those Marg! Every year I do a two day show at a local church. I always try to make something for all the volunteers who work the event. These are perfect! I will glue a pinback on them so they can wear them on their aprons. wombatie 1 Quote
rdatelle Posted May 5, 2018 Report Posted May 5, 2018 How thick is the wood you use on these. Would 1/8 B/B be ok. Quote
GPscroller Posted May 5, 2018 Report Posted May 5, 2018 Nice idea Marg. Have been making little "pocket" crosses for years out of left over walnut, and have given away around 150 of them. Like others have said above, may have to start doing these angels. Thanks for the inspiration. Jeff wombatie 1 Quote
rdatelle Posted May 6, 2018 Report Posted May 6, 2018 Dan (dgman), what type of glue do you use to hold the pin back on the back of the angel. Quote
Dave Monk Posted May 8, 2018 Report Posted May 8, 2018 That sure is some small cutting Marg. Maybe you should cut that on a coin. wombatie 1 Quote

Ralph, I don't know what glue Dan uses, but for this type of item I would use gel-type CA glue. It won' set immediately, but when it does it does a perfect job holding the clip in place. Len Quote
