rdatelle Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 Hi everyone. Well I tried to cut one more compound cut using cedar to see how it would look. I have a few people asking me if i'm selling these. I told them not yet. I'm not sure if I want to sell to many of these seeing that it takes so long to cut one. Not sure what I would charge. I was thinking maybe $30.00 for the poplar and maybe $35.00 for the cedar. Any suggestions. Thanks, Ralph. Scrappile, new2woodwrk, lawson56 and 3 others 5 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 Pricing I think is all up to you. Everyone has their own way to price things. I believe we soon learn if our prices are where they should be and when we need to raise or lower them. I would put out the prices you are thinking about and watch and see what happens. If they sell really quickly, perhaps they could go up a tad and the other way around if they just sit and gather some dust. Dick heppnerguy Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 Nicely done Ralph. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW Quote
Dave Monk Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 That came out great Ralph! Pricing is always tough. I always try to price my projects high enough that I am willing to make another. Some pieces I make that I am really proud of I price a bit high because I am not real anxious to get rid of. Quote
Scrappile Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 Another good one. You have that kind of scrolling down good. Quote
GPscroller Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 Cedar looks fantastic Ralph. I saw your previous post and decided to cut this last nite. As you said, it does take a while. I too am not sure if I want to cut anymore either. Jeff Quote
lawson56 Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 Super job!!! It is Beautiful.I price mine High enough to where I am willing to come down a little and feel like I am still making some dough. Quote
rdatelle Posted May 11, 2018 Author Report Posted May 11, 2018 Thanks everyone for the advice. Jeff, I'm glad you tried making one. Now you see how long it takes. What blade did you use. I did this one with a #7 polar. Quote
Charlie E Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 That looks great. I haven't tried that type of cut yet but that makes me want to give it a try. Quote
