I thought I would try a pattern/cut on one of DaVinci's well known paintings. The facial feautures were a bit challenging due to the size. I think just a head shot would have been easier. But like the old addage "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." I did get to practice quite a few manuevers (spin and cut) on this one.

Thanks...Total time was around 6 hours. Cut on 1/4" baltic birch ply. Used FD-PSR5 blades. Overall size 8.5 X 11 inches. I'm used to working with flat blades so it gets a bit easier as I do more cuts.

yeah 3 years plus for me on flat blades i'm going to miss them .you'll laugh at this one .I've been useing flat blades so long and went to sleep and went back to cutting and forgot i was useing a spiral and got to a corner and back pulled to make the turn and the spiral just kept cutting away .i thought i was going to have a heart attack cause i could'nt figure out what was wrong in time to stop

damage to the project as nomatter which way i went it was non stop cutting! :)
