Dad's Day Challenge

If Mom gets the entire month of may, it only seems fair that Dad gets the entire month of June!  This month's challenge is to make something for Dad.  Maybe make it for your dad, husband, yourself, your son, or a new dad in the neighborhood!  Anything a dad would like, because Dads need some love too.

I bought a magnifying lamp at Harbor Freight  a while back. I would absolutely hate to have to do without it now! My work improved quite a bit when I began to see what I was supposed to cut.

The "Morning Coffee" cut, pattern by BirchBark, is my Father's Day gift for Dad.  I have made the frames for both the oiled and painted ones and will give him his choice.  Just a small reminder of the one Mom made for him.

Looks fantastic!  Great job with the colors.

This piece is my original design. It is made from poplar wood. I chose not to stain it so I covered it with about 4 coats of polyurethane. The time piece came from one of the big box  craft stores. My husband has already claimed the piece for himself.

 Not too interesting or original but might as well post it since I made it. Didn't think I'd be making anything for father's day. A few hours ago my wife said she didn't know what to get for her dad so I suggested a word art plaque. It's  on 1/2' Red Paduak. Happy Father's day everyone!

I thought I'd get a little creative on this one. Hope someone can use it. Obviously you'll want to cut the white.
