Popular Post MrsN
From time to time the topic of kids in the shop comes up. Earlier this week my niece and nephew were at my place for a few days. I have made them a bunch of wooden animals as toys that they could paint and color. They have enjoyed this at birthdays and holidays many times. While staying with me I had a new set of pieces for them to decorate. We finished with the ones I had cut out when my niece says "aunty Katie, it's too bad we don't have any hearts we could paint. I'd give you one because you are my friend" I melted a bit and said, let's go make some. She is 4 and sat on my lap while we cut shapes for about 45 minutes. At one point my blade was getting a bit loose and I stopped the saw to check it out saying "something sounds funny" After changing the blade I plucked it to make sure it was tight. A minute later (and every 5 minutes after that) she made me stop saying she heard something funny, she checked both blade clamps and plucked the blade before she let me continue. MrsN
Lol, I don't go very far without the furry shop foreman. He likes to keep his eyes on me. SCROLLSAW703 and OCtoolguy

wombatie
That is so cute Katie. I can see her in a few years time only visiting so that she can 'play' with your scroll saw. Marg OCtoolguy and SCROLLSAW703
Charlie E
Man I love that story and picture. My grandson Ryder loves being in my shop. The Kool Aid in the mini fridge may have something to do with it. OCtoolguy, WayneMahler and SCROLLSAW703
Woodmaster1
It's awesome to see kids in the shop. I see a future scroll saw artist if technology doesn't get the best of her. OCtoolguy and SCROLLSAW703 1
