lew Posted June 10, 2018 Report Posted June 10, 2018 So far all looks good with my new Delta! Need some advice....I'm getting some vibration at the highest speed. It may be the table....not sure. Any suggestions on what folks are doing to reduce the vibration? Thanks! Lew OCtoolguy and new2woodwrk 2 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted June 10, 2018 Report Posted June 10, 2018 Have you got it mounted to something stable. I had a tough time getting the vibration out of mine until I built a very heavy stand for it and then put the whole thing on that rubber floor stuff. Now, it's smooth and very quiet. Good luck with your new saw. SCROLLSAW703 1 Quote

new2woodwrk Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 (edited) I clamped mine to my work table at an angle - no more vibration Edited June 11, 2018 by new2woodwrk SCROLLSAW703, lew and OCtoolguy 1 2 Quote

I got them from another site but I can't recall where. If you need them, I can shoot them to you. Not sure how to go about finding them here on SSV. SCROLLSAW703 1 Quote

dgman Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 It’s important that the saw is mounted to a sturdy stand or table. The stands that are designed for saws like the DeWALT and Delta are designed to minimize vibration. If you don’t mount it to the factory stand, it needs to be bolted or clamped to a sturdy bench.
