amazingkevin
Great work matt, hopefully they don't have the first two in the dollar stores up there. That might kill those sales. There's plain wood 3" names in there to that hurt me.But our work is on good wood ,hand made and unique, which goes further than the stamped out commercial work.My first show is coming up and we will see how i do with projects from steve good and ssv!Good luck on your show,it's all fun meeting people anyway.Do you have a request box for order at the show? MBridges
Thanks everybody! The show went well. It was my first every show and I did $250 in sales (only spent $40 on the booth) and got an invite to another sale in Nov. at an elementary school's fall craft fair. It'll have more people come thru than this one did so we'll see how that goes. Kevin - I haven't see any of the boy or girl plaques in stores here. I've sold 1 of each, but that's it so far. I completely agree with the stamped or lasered items and that ours are unique and handmade and on good wood making them worth more. Good luck on your show! My feelings for the first show were as long as I made back my fees and a litle more I would have been happen. That being said I was thrilled with the outcome As far as an suggestion box, I actually bought a couple receipt books at Office Max and took orders. rumtopf12
Hi, just love the "I know I'm somebody..." can I ask where you got the artwork for the girl and boy? I'm new to scrolling and would really like to attempt these.
amazingkevin
today was the craft show and i was not included.I found 2.00 to get in and found some interesting ideas. On clear dinner plates they took thin cloth with pictures on them and somehow stuck them to the plate on the underneath side. They looked so good, photo quality because of the thick glass.also clear glass blocks with lights on a string with various items inside for that occasion.Nothing intarsia or scroll sawn. There was a small car show too.
