scrollergirl
Howdy Yall, (Native Texan..Houston born and bred..can you tell? ) I'm Scrollergirl and I'm new to the village. I stumbled upon this site and it sounded interesting. I have been scrolling for 9 years and I absolutely love it. I basically have been making things for fun, friends and family. Within the past year, however, I decided to get a bit more serious and see if I could go "Pro" .. so to speak. I have a few items displayed on a Hand crafted website and now I'm preparing for an upcoming local art festival. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Any tips would be welcome. I look forward to getting to know fellow scrollers.
Lastchance
Welcome to the Village Scrollergirl! Bunch of good, helpful folks here. I am new to this forum as well, but have already met many seasoned pros and received their wisdom and assistance when I was in need. I am a local Texan as well, from a ways North of Dallas, so you are not the only one here who tends to say "howdy" or refer to someone having "horse sense". I hope that you will grace us with your presence in the forums and allow us to view some of your finished crafts. You will find that many here share the knowledge of their trade as well as helpful suggestions and ideas for all to improve our craft. Have a good evening Ma'am. amazingkevin
Hello scrollergirl,Welcome. I'd love to see some pictures from a craft show and especially yours.I'm trying to get in a show but $75.00 is out of reach.Another thing about craft shows is maybe there is craft show police to see if your products comply to codes of non toxic paints, stains chokeing pieces, etc just like big manufacturing companys go through

scrollergirl
Good to "meet ya' " Clayton, Chance, Brett, and amazing Kevin.... Thanks for the friendly Welcome to The Village. Still working on items for the upcoming craft show at the end of the month. It's going kinda slow. I'm trying to make several types of things as well as some more Christmas decorations. At last year's local craft show, I sold a lot of those. Right now I'm scrolling during the day and sanding and staining or painting at night. Somewhere in between I try to squeeze in the other aspects of my life. Ha Ha I recently cut out one of the Autumn patterns (4 leaves together). I did it a little bit differently from the original. Hope to take a pic and share it with you all soon to get your feedback. Adios for now.
