Sydney
I am looking for a remote control for a Ridgid shop vac. Something on the line of just plug into a wall outlet and plug the shop vac into that. Any suggestions? OCtoolguy
Scrappile
I've had one on my dust collector for many years now. I got it from Rockler and paid around $75. I thought it was expensive then they now want $100! It is a good one, like I said I've had it for years and it has never failed nor have I lost the remote for it. http://www.rockler.com/dust-collector-remote-switch I would think. you could find a cheaper one that would work just fine. They are very convenient to have. OCtoolguy and WayneMahler

tgiro
Here are the Amazon offers. I use the one from PSI, but I have the 220 volt version. The iVac remotes are supposed to be good, also. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_21?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=dust+collector+remote+switch&sprefix=dust+collector+remote%2Caps%2C173&crid=3CN9F576X7C8H Scrolling Steve and Scrappile
Scrappile
If you scroll down to the Rockler one at $99.99 just below it is one that looks identical except for the stick on label for $69.99. I am willing to bet it is the same unit. OCtoolguy
Sycamore67
I use a cheap remote control from Menards and have one that was less than $20 for my Ridgid vac. OCtoolguy and Scrappile
SCROLLSAW703
I have one on an old lathe I have that I bought from harbor freight for $12. Works well & no issues. OCtoolguy
jerry1939
Grainger is an old company that we dealt with for years. Always satisfied. https://www.grainger.com/category/electrical-supplies/electrical/ecatalog/N-q9s?okey=117+volt+remote+outlet&mkey=117+volt+remote+outlet&refineSearchString=117+volt+remote+outlet&NLSCM=17&EndecaKeyword=117+volt+remote+outlet&searchBar=true&searchRedirect=117+volt+remote+outlet jerry OCtoolguy
Gonzo
I agree with Sycamore67, Menards is an inexpensive way to go. OCtoolguy
OCtoolguy
A couple of years back, I ran across a remote controlled outside 3 way plug in for Christmas lights. $14.99 ea. I bought two and I will buy a couple more this coming year. I haven't seen them except at Christmas time. We don't have a Menards here on the West coast. I did check the amperage ratings and they exceed the draw of a shop vac.
